From Resilience to Welcome: Creating a Home, One Stay at a Time

Hi, I’m Diana, founder of House of DH. My journey of resilience and reinvention inspired me to create thoughtfully designed, elevated homes - posh, welcoming spaces where every guest feels valued, at ease, and truly at home. Our core beliefs guide everything that we do - we simply value people, connections, and friendships over money and clout. My Story I was born in Bulgaria and raised by strong, principled people who taught me resilience, integrity, and a deep respect for others. From a young age, I knew the world was bigger than one place, so at 18 I moved to the U.S. to chase opportunity, adventure, and growth. Over the years, I got a BA & MBA, built a successful corporate career as a Marketing Executive, explored competitive shooting sports professionally, and learned what it means to push past fear and limits. But something was always missing. In 2021, life changed overnight. I experienced spousal abuse, lost my job, lost my home, and everything familiar, and for the first time truly understood what it feels like to not have a place that feels safe and grounding. Out of that loss came clarity and purpose. I began creating homes - not just houses, but spaces filled with warmth, intention, and personality - where people can relax, feel special, and truly belong, even if only for a little while. Today, my greatest joy is designing memorable stays that make people feel welcome, inspired, and cared for in every way.
